The victim was socializing at a bonfire Nov. 14 in Commerce, Missouri, when he reportedly was hit in the back of the head, dragged across the ground and body slammed repeatedly, eventually suffering a separated shoulder.
Austin Wayne Glastetter, 19, of Oran, Missouri, was arrested Nov. 14 and charged with first-degree felony assault because it resulted in a serious injury.
According to the probable-cause statement from a Scott County Sheriff's Department deputy, a hospital report confirmed the victim suffered a dislocated shoulder, torn tendons and bruising on the left side of his face.
Glastetter still was at the bonfire when the deputy responded, and he cooperated with officers once they arrived, according to the statement. Glastetter said the victim had attacked one of his friends earlier, and he wanted payback, according to the statement.
"Glastetter said he knew what he did was wrong and said he made a mistake," the report stated.
Glastetter is scheduled for arraignment at 9 a.m. Nov. 25.
