Just in time for the Christmas holiday, the Salvation Army in Cape Girardeau is hosting its red kettle campaign kickoff.

Rock the Red Kettle begins at 6 p.m. today at Centenary Methodist Church, 300 N. Ellis St. in Cape Girardeau.

Members of the public are invited to attend the free family event, which features special guests. Contemporary Christian band Living Stones will perform, as well as Southeast Missouri State University's steel drums and the Kelly High School Drumline.
