Ex-clerk fined for trashing office

AKRON, Ohio -- A former clerk at a county's fiscal office was fined $1,000 for trashing a co-worker's office with glitter and purple Silly String. A judge also ordered Samantha Lockhart, 25, to complete 50 hours of community service and write an apology. Police said she had been working for Summit County when she smashed photos, threw glitter and sprayed Silly String in the office after sending a resignation notice. Prosecutors said she also destroyed computer equipment.
