Jeffery Porter scored a game-high 17 points for the Scott County Central boys basketball team, but West Memphis pulled away in the fourth quarter to secure a 51-44 win Saturday in the Riverbend Classic at New Madrid County Central High School.

Glenn Ward had 12 points to lead the Blue Devils while Zachary Boyd added 10 points.

SCC fell to 1-2 on the season.

Nine players scored to lead the Indians to a victory over the Tigers on Saturday at the St. James Shootout in St. James, Missouri.

Rylee Stafford knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 13 points to lead the charge for Jackson (2-0). Cassidi Tomsu added 10 points for the Indians, who finished with a combined eight treys and trailed by two points heading into the final period.

Devin Fuhring scored a game-high 28 points to lead St. James (0-1) while Kenzie Guese added 12 points.
