Wyatt Johnson netted a game-high 14 points as third-seeded Perryville cruised past sixth-seeded Oak Ridge 62-26 in the opening round of the Woodland Invitational Tournament on Tuesday in Marble Hill, Missouri.
The Pirates posted a 19-point lead at halftime and outscored the Bluejays by 17 points in the second half.
Perryville (1-0) will face second-seeded host Woodland (1-0) in a semifinal at 8 p.m. Thursday. Top-seeded Scott City and No. 5 Zalma will meet in the other semifinal at 6:30 p.m.
Steven Masterson had 13 points for Oak Ridge (0-1). The Bluejays will take on seventh-seeded Leopold (0-1) in a consolation semifinal at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Brianna Mueller netted a game-high 15 points and recorded three steals as the top-seeded Crusaders downed the fourth-seeded Bulldogs to advance to the championship game of the Farmington Invitational Tournament.
The Crusaders held the Bulldogs to single digits in the first half before the Bulldogs rallied and outscored the Crusaders by three points in the second half.
Grace Mirly added 10 points and four assists for Saxony Lutheran (2-0). Ashlynn Collier grabbed 10 rebounds for the Crusaders, who will face second-seeded Dexter (1-2) for the title at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Hayli Chapman had nine points to pace Notre Dame (1-1). The Bulldogs will take on Jackson for third place at 5 p.m. Thursday. The Indians staged a fourth-quarter rally to survive a scare from the fifth-seeded host Knightettes to pull out a 67-47 in Tuesday's other tournament game. Poplar Bluff sophomore Taylor Norwood finished first in two events and set state-qualifying times in both to help the Mules successfully defended their title at the seven-team Splash Out Cancer Meet at the Central Municipal Pool.
Norwood won the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.45 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1 minute, 1.44 seconds for Poplar Bluff, which took first in six of the 12 events and finished 43 points ahead of host Cape Central in the team standings. Senior Josey Powell won the 100 freestyle (1:00.24) and 500 freestyle (5:46.15) for the Tigers, who finished first in four events.
Jackson senior Sydney Deneke won the diving and freshman Faith Littleton placed first in the 200 individual medley for Jackson, which finished 57 points behind Cape Central in third place.
Saxony Lutheran senior Elizabeth Kiefner also set two state-qualifiers with her first-place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:00.44) and her second-place finish behind Norwood in the 100 butterfly (1:01.20).
The annual meet is held in sponsorship with the St. Francis Medical Center Pink Up/Dig for Life, which seeks to raise breast cancer awareness.
