Blake Bauwens netted 15 points as the Notre Dame boys basketball team squeezed out a 54-51 SEMO Conference victory over Charleston on Friday at home.
The Bulldogs trailed 24-21 at halftime and went on to outscore the Bluejays by six points in the second half to prevail.
Ross Essner tallied 11 points and three assists for Notre Dame (1-1, 1-0 SEMO Conference).
Mardareyon Clark busted a game-high 20 points, and Dontarius Sharp tossed in 12 points to pace Charleston (1-3, 1-1).
Both teams begin SEMO Conference Tournament play on Monday at Sikeston High School.

Graesen Meystedt scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Crusaders to the victory over the Hornets in the championship of the Rolla "Duke" Herbert Invitational in Crystal City, Missouri.
Saxony (2-1) created a six-point cushion in the second quarter and headed into halftime with a 30-24 lead.
Brady DeGeare scored 12 points to pace Crystal City while Matt Eisenbeis added 11 points.

Gavin Marler scored a game-high 15 points as the Bulldogs downed the Indians to clinch third place in the Rolla "Duke" Herbert Invitational in Crystal City, Missouri.
The Indians led by two points at halftime, but the Bulldogs responded in the second half, outscoring the Indians by 17 points to get the win.
Adam Hinson netted 13 points, and Keola Bursey added 11 points for St. Clair (2-1).
Blake Hellman had 14 points to lead St. Vincent (1-2).
