WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Gerald B. Dame, 76, of Wolf Lake died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Raymond Paul and Marjory Boardman Dame. He and Teresa Welch were married July 1, 1995, at Wolf Lake. Gerald served his country proudly in the National Guard. He was a Mason in Chaffee Lodge 615 AF&AM...

WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Gerald B. Dame, 76, of Wolf Lake died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at his home.

He was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Raymond Paul and Marjory Boardman Dame. He and Teresa Welch were married July 1, 1995, at Wolf Lake.

Gerald served his country proudly in the National Guard. He was a Mason in Chaffee Lodge 615 AF&AM.

He farmed all his life in Missouri and Illinois.

He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Wolf Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Dame of Wolf Lake; four sons, Alan (Gail) Dame of Wolf Lake, Jeremy (Stacey) Dame of Oran, Missouri, Jordan Dame of Denver and Warren Hansen of Venice, California; a daughter, Lisa (Greg) Behnen of Festus, Missouri; a brother, Phillip Dame of Chaffee, Missouri; two sisters, Martha Corn of Milton, Florida, and Mary Ivy, also of Florida; and five grandchildren, Colin Dame, Bailey Dame, Carter Dame, Logan Dame and Kaley Behnen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Paul and Marjory Boardman Dame.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be given to Shriners Hospital for Children.
