Kurre -- 60 years

Penny M. and Jean Kurre of Jackson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner hosted by R. Penny Kurre on Nov. 27 at Delmonico's Restaurant in Jackson.

Kurre and the former Jean Evans were married Nov. 27, 1955, at New McKendree Methodist Church in Jackson with C.E. Yoes performing the ceremony. The only living attendant is Susan Evans Estes, sister of the bride, who was junior bridesmaid.

The couple has three children, Dustin and Susan Kurre of Birmingham, Alabama; Charles and Sarah Kurre of Columbia, Missouri; and R. Penny Kurre and Paul James of Patton, Missouri. The couple also has four grandchildren, Collin, Ashlen, Rileigh and Theodore Kurre.
