BENTON, Mo. -- Dorothy Dean Welker-Walker, 84, of Benton passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at her home.

She was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Patton, Missouri, to Marvin J. and Lillie Pulliam Kirkpatrick. She first married Darrell Welker. They had one daughter. She later married Charles Walker.

Dorothy worked at the former International Hat Factory in Marble Hill, Missouri, and then worked 20 years at Southeast Hospital.

She attended Hurricane Fork Baptist Church near Patton; and was a member of the Eagles No. 3775 in Cape Girardeau. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, dancing and traveling.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Laura Pridemore (Tammy Silvey) of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons, Micheal (Lara) Pridemore of Malden, Missouri, and Amos Pridemore (Mary Wallace) of Cape Girardeau; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Addie; three siblings, James (Faye) Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill, Jr. (Kelly) Kirkpatrick of Vanduser, Missouri, and Kathy Kirkpatrick of St. Petersburg, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; a sister, Geraldine Cook; a brother, George Kirkpatrick; and an infant brother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. An Eagles service will be at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Sander officiating. Burial will be at Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Patton.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
