The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of theft at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of theft at 157 Siemers Drive.

Summonses

• Carl A. Jenkins, no age given, of Dexter, Missouri, was issued a summons for following too closely.
• Shawnquayli B. Thomas, no age given, of Portageville, Missouri, was issued a summons for striking the rear of a legally stopped vehicle.

Assaults

• Assault was reported.
• Domestic assault was reported.

Burglary

• Burglary and the theft of money were reported at 630 North St.

Thefts

• Jewelry was reported stolen at 513 N. Fountain St.
• Theft and property damage were reported at the Community Counseling Center, 416 N. Kingshighway.
• A nail bag was reported stolen at 2641 Hopper Road.
• Money was reported stolen at the intersection of Lacey and Luce streets.
