Sherman Lee Rutherford, 53, of Jackson died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Oklahoma City from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born March 22, 1962, in Perryville, Missouri, to Elvie E. and Alice Sullivan Rutherford. He and Tami Chambers were married June 28, 1991, at Fordland, Missouri.

Lee was an iron worker for 25 years. He was a family man and loved fishing and tinkering around the house.

Survivors include his wife, Tami Rutherford of Jackson; two sons, Levi Rutherford of Jackson and Jason Wade of Farmington, Missouri; two daughters, Kasey and Stormee Rutherford of Jackson; and a sister, Lisa Marshall of Farmington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elvie E. Rutherford; his mother, Alice Lancaster; and brother, Robert Rutherford.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
