FENTON, Mo. -- Linnie L. Denning of Fenton, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2016.

She was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Hickman, Kentucky, to Henry J. and Susie Ann (Maxey) Morgan.

Linnie and J.W. Denning were married Aug. 16, 1943, in Charleston, Missouri.

He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2012.

Linnie worked as an LPN for Belmont Community Hospital in Chicago for over 10 years. When she was in Cape, she was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. She currently had been a member of Solid Rock Ministries in Fenton.

Survivors include three sons, Richard C. (Brenda) Denning of Naples, Florida, Roy E. (Glenda) Denning of Yuma, Tennessee, and Wayne (Marlene)

Denning of Lake Placid, Florida; daughter, Margie (Rickey) Ray of Fenton; brother, A.G. Houston of Chicago; sister, Georgiann A. Barrera of New York; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother; and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Solid Rock Ministries, 899 Gravois Road, Fenton.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Revs. James D. Manning and Jonathan M. DeWitt officiating.

Burial will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Darrell Faire officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association.
