A Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly being found in a Best Buy bathroom in Cape Girardeau, huffing air duster and refusing to leave.
Michael Dwayne Ruple, 57, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a solvent with intent to induce symptoms and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cape Girardeau police responded to a report of a man huffing air duster in the bathroom at Best Buy, 3026 William St., and refusing to leave, patrolman Nicker Becker wrote in a probable-cause statement. Ruple was found in a bathroom stall with two air duster cans, Becker wrote.
A search by police produced a metal pipe containing marijuana residue, Becker wrote.
Ruple told Becker he was using air duster, he has been huffing for about two months, and he has a history of drug use.
Ruple's bond was set at $2,500.
