The Jackson wrestling team improved to 9-0 on the season, sweeping three duals on Wednesday in Imperial, Missouri.

The Indians knocked off Sikeston 54-18 and cruised past host Windsor 71-3 before closing out with a 56-17 win over Ste. Genevieve.

The Wildcats hosted a tri-meet and came away with a first-place team finish, followed by the Bulldogs in second and the Indians in third.

Madison Heisserer led the way for Notre Dame, finishing first in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 59.43 seconds. She also took first in the 100 backstroke (1:09.91).

Hannah Summers placed first in the 50 freestyle (27.51) and 100 breaststroke (1:20.72) to lead Jackson while Faith Littleton contributed a top finish in the 500 freestyle (5:30.55).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Saxony Lutheran 58, Cobden 55

The Crusaders got off to a fast start and survived a furious Cobden (Ill.) comeback attempt to hang on to victory and move into the championship game of the 54th Annual Chester Invitational Tournament in Chester, Illinois.

Top-seeded Saxony Lutheran (15-1) held a 35-22 lead over the fourth seed at halftime.

The Crusaders were led by 17 points from William Rogers, while Corie Williams added 14 points and Graesen Meystedt pitched in 10 points.

Cobden was paced by 21 points from Logan Spalt, while Austin Lewey had 15.

The Crusaders will face tonight's winner between Perryville and Chester (Ill.) in the championship at 7 p.m. Saturday.
