A one-point game at halftime fell in favor of the Cape Central boys basketball team as it controlled the second half to hand Saxony Lutheran its second straight loss, 53-38, on Tuesday night at Cape Central High School.

The Tigers (11-4) led 25-24 at the break, but held the Crusaders (15-3) to just 14 points in the second half.

Austin Parker led all scorers with 16 points for the winners, and Jawone Newell added 13.

Saxony Lutheran was paced by 14 points from William Rogers and 12 from Corie Williams.
