Cathy Moran

KELSO, Mo. -- Catherine "Cathy" Lucille Moran, 57, of Kelso died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 31, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to the late Albert and Edna Job Schabbing. She married David Moran on July 11, 1981. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 2012.

Cathy was a neonatal intensive care nurse for over 30 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Heather (Michael) Gurnow of Jackson; and four siblings, Larry Schabbing of Metropolis, Illinois, Judy Menz of Sikeston, Missouri, Barbara Diebold of Kelso; and Patricia Baker of Cape Girardeau.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, with the Rev. Joe Weidenbenner as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso.
