Freshman Leah Cauble broke loose for a game-high 39 points and recorded six rebounds and three assists to lead the Oran girls basketball team to a 71-34 rout of conference foe Delta at home on Thursday night.

Ashlyn McIntosh netted 10 points for Oran (13-2, 2-0 Scott-Mississippi Conference), which took a commanding 44-8 lead by halftime.

Jessie Long tallied 10 rebounds and four steals for the Eagles, while Tatum May contributed six steals, five rebounds and four assists.

Jamie Hodge notched 10 points to pace Delta (3-10, 1-3).

Kylie Bilek sank a game-high 17 points and recorded five steals and four assists as the Pirates squeezed out the conference victory at home.

Ahnie Hoff notched a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds and also had four blocks for Perryville (6-9, 1-1 JCAA Conference-Large Schools Division), which led by eight points at halftime. The Hawks narrowed the gap in the second half.

Izze Ringling finished with 15 points to pace Hillsboro (3-10, 0-2).

MICDS wins meet

The Notre Dame swim team received two first-place finishes by Madison Heisserer in a dual-meet loss to the Mary Institute & St. Louis Country Day School (MICDS) Rams at the Beaumount Natatorium in the suburban St. Louis area.

Heisserer won the 100 freestyle in 59.55 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:07.16.
