Bernard S. and Dorothy M. Kluesner of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 11, 2015, with a reception and dinner hosted by their children and families.

Kluesner and the former Dorothy Morie were married Oct. 1, 1955, at Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson. The Rev. August Eckhoff performed the ceremony.

Attendants were Joann (Stoverink) Ulrich; John Morie; Mary (Horrell) Kluesner; Tom Kluesner; Pat (Horrell) George; and J.C. Kluesner.

The couple has four children: Denise (Tom) McDowell of Jackson; Linda (Mike) Haynes of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; David Kluesner of New York City; and the late Susan (Ron) Hinkebein of Jackson.

The couple also has seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
