Joanie Collins Kluesner, 57, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 10, 1958, in Cape Girardeau to William Greenley and Mary Josephine Collins.

Joanie was passionate about caring for others as was reflected by her many years of working as a registered nurse at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her two children, Zach and Alli. Anyone who met Joanie instantly knew how proud she was of her children.

Survivors include her son, Zach Kluesner (fiancee, Alexandra Weishaar) of Columbia, Missouri; her daughter, Alli Kluesner of Fruitland; a sister, Julie Milton of Benton, Illinois; and her dogs, Ringo and Snuggles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Kevin and Mark Collins.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. However, plans are being made for a celebration of life per Joanie's request. Details to follow.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
