Paula Kay Allen, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at Heartland Care and Rehab.

She was born Oct. 1, 1945, in Columbia, Missouri, to Paul Henry and Edna Mae Arrandale Lasater.

She graduated from Central High School in 1963 and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

She taught school at Altenburg Lutheran School and Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Jackson, and was active in the PTA. She was a member of the Ramblewood Garden Club and was a member of the River City Players.

She is survived by two sons, Alex Paul Allen of Perryville, Missouri, and Arron Wayne Allen of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Linda Edwards of Marion, Ohio.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bruce Baxter officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
