Garrett Walker sank 19 points, and the Jackson boys basketball team averted a scare from visiting New Madrid County Central to come away with a 69-61 victory in SEMO Conference action Friday in Jackson.

Desmond Morris recorded 17 points and Jacob Smith pitched in 15 points for Jackson (13-11, 2-4 SEMO Conference). The Indians built a 10-point lead at halftime before the Eagles outscored the hosts by two points in the second half.

Chris Farr tallied a game-high 24 points and Javarcus Word added 21 points to pace NMCC (8-14, 1-6).

The state-ranked Hornets had seven of their players reach double digits in the road win over the Wildcats.

Armani Vermillion led with 17 points, and Michael Hood added 16 points for Advance (19-5), which jumped out to a 24-point lead at halftime and went on to outscore the hosts by 18 points in the second half to get the victory. Dakota Welty pitched in 14 points for the Hornets.

Nathan Noland busted a game-high 24 points to lead the Pirates in the conference victory over the visiting Owls.

Conner Stark sank 17 points, 15 of which came from behind the arc, for Perryville (16-5, 2-1 JCAA Conference-Large Schools Division), which tallied 24 assists as a team. The Pirates sailed out to a 26-point lead at halftime before the Owls regrouped and staged a second-half rally, during which the guests outscored the hosts by five points.

Trey Miller scored 22 points, and Logan Kelley-Wolff bucketed 18 points to pace Windsor (15-7, 1-3).

Dylan Keller netted 21 points to pace the Rams in the loss at home to the Tigers.

Braden Cox contributed 12 points for Scott City (15-9), which maintained a 34-23 lead at halftime before the guests orchestrated a second-half comeback. The Tigers outscored the Rams by 22 points and scored 47 of their total 70 points in the second half to savor the victory.

Kamau Kinder nailed a game-high 24 points to lead Festus (16-6).
