Barbara J. Stucker, 68, of Jackson passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 30, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Joseph and Martha Entrikin Fields. She and Danny Stucker were married Dec. 4, 1965, at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. 

Barb worked 25 years as a beautician. She first operated a shop at her home in Poplar Bluff and later owned and operated the Shampoo Shack in Poplar Bluff. When the family moved to Jackson in 1992, Barb enjoyed selling jewelry at Wal-Mart in Jackson, then the former Kay’s Merchandise in Cape Girardeau, and again at Wal-Mart in Jackson, retiring in June 2012.

Loving survivors include her husband of 50 years, Danny of Jackson; two daughters, Melissa Welker of St. Louis and Christy (Ronnie) Amelunke of Jackson; six grandchildren, Miranda Mudge, Steven Amelunke, Cody (Holly) Amelunke, Nick Amelunke, Dylan Welker and Christina Scharenborg; two sisters, Gwen (Jerry) Gray and Billie (Lee) Daugherty; a brother, Bobby (Darlene) Fields; and dear friends, Becky, Marty, Tim, Darrell, Carol, Nancy and David.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joann Templemire; and a great-grandson, Leland Allen Amelunke.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to service time Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken Grant officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
