Ronnie Ricketts

Ronnie Ricketts, 64, of Randles passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at the family home.

He was born Nov. 25, 1951, to Jhugh Gilbert and Katherine Broughs Ricketts in Milan, Tennessee. Ron married Evelyn Cruce on Dec. 14, 1989.

Ron was a member of Local Ironworkers 782 and Puxico Masonic Lodge 596. He was a former deacon at First Baptist Church and had a strong relationship with the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Eric Keller of Millersville and Jeff Messemore of Golconda, Illinois; three daughters, Amanda Ricketts of Brookline, Missouri, Elizabeth Ricketts of New Orleans and Brandy Wolfenkoehler of Jackson; six brothers, James Ricketts of Caruthersville, Illinois, Jerry Ricketts of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Gilbert Ricketts of Kennett, Missouri, Jo Ricketts of Portageville, Missouri, Randy Ricketts of New Madrid, Missouri, and John Ricketts Goodlettsville, Tennessee; two sisters, Rebecca Lipford of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Carolyn Taylor of Booneville, Mississippi; 11 grandchildren, Erica, Gavin and Kailey Keller, Austin and Lauren Keith, Cashmere Thompson, Cheyenne and Cameron Messemore, Ian Cumbee, Casey Lands and Alex Peterson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by both parents and two nephews, Terry and Travis Durbin.

He was a die-hard fan of bluegrass music. He played the guitar and harmonica. Ron loved camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He always looked forward to holidays knowing the family would be together.

Ron was an advocate for veterans as well as the American flag. When looking through his Facebook pages, it's clear how much he loved his country and those who served to protect our rights, including his granddaughter, Hospitalman 3rd Class Erica Keller.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri.

A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wes Kinder officiating.
