Marianne Atkinson

PADUCAH, Ky. — Marianne Atkinson, 80, of Paducah, formerly of Mounds, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Marianne was a member of Paducah First Baptist Church, and she retired from the medical records department at Western Baptist Hospital. She was a volunteer at Hope Unlimited and Western Baptist Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter, Kris Malone and husband Whit of Hickory, North Carolina; two sons, Mike Dalton and wife Kate of Louisville, Kentucky, and Dick Dalton and wife Darlene of Ledbetter, Kentucky; one stepdaughter, Theresa Cross; three stepsons, Howard Atkinson, Lin Atkinson and Bill Atkinson; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. “Sparky” Atkinson; and her parents, Dewey Mahoney and Mary Genelle Titus Mahoney.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Terry Mitcheson officiating. Burial will be at Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
