Art not good use of funds

Regarding the story "15-foot-tall sculpture in the middle of the Fountain Street roundabout": So very not smart!

There should be nothing blocking the view of the traffic in the roundabout! Roundabouts only work when the drivers can see the traffic and time their entry into roundabouts. Certainly, the driver should not be distracted by any stupid statue when making the critical decision to merge.

A motorcyclist will be hidden behind that stupid statue and will likely get smashed.

I squashed a similar proposal to put tall native prairie grass in the Lexington Avenue roundabout. That was a stupid idea, too!

We can't afford more officers to fight crime, but we can fix our ball fields and put up sculptures.

Spend the $64,000 on another police officer ensuring safety in our town and not a poor artist.

Change the city council policy and spend the casino revenue on police officers and fixing the streets.
