Marvin "Butch" Dohogne, 72, of Scott City peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, May 4, 2016, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Butch was born to the late Walter and Augusta Dumey Dohogne on Nov. 10, 1943, in Kelso, Missouri. He married his true love, best friend and partner in life, Marsha Calhoun Dohogne on Aug. 8, 1964, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.

Butch was a beloved member of his community and was a friend to everyone he knew. He retired from Kelso Supply Co. after 43 years of devoted service to a job he loved. He also worked for Brucker Auction Co., which was a great passion of his. He enjoyed collecting John Deere toy tractors and antiques. But most of all, he was a loving, devoted and caring husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha, of 51 years; his children, Angela (Tony) LaForest of Jackson, Pamela Dohogne Hartline of Kelso, Mark (Shelly) Dohogne of Scott City, and Elizabeth Dohogne and Kelsey Roth of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, Robert and Preston Beauchamp of Jackson, Gracie LaForest of Jackson, Hunter Hartline of Kelso, Shelton Hartline of Dexter, Missouri, Brittany McGuire of St. Louis and Brooke Dohogne of Scott City; sister Mary Jean Strack of Cape Girardeau; and brother, Tom (Mary Carol) Dohogne of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Shirley Boham; and grandson Tyler LaForest.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.

Memorials are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to The American Cancer Society.
