Juanita McCormick, 81, of Scott City died Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 14, 1935, in Heath, Alabama, to John May and Faye Gibson Carter.

Juanita was a retired machine operator at Ely Walker in Scott City and she cooked at various restaurants.

She is survived by two sons, Donnie Henderson and Steve (Pam) Henderson of Scott City; two daughters, Clara Pender and Michelle (Barry) Walker of Scott City; a brother, Billy Carter of Lawrence, Kansas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
