Cindi Morris opened The Mustard Seed Boutique in 2012.

"My husband and I opened it together, but I run the business," she says.

The boutique, at 205 Graham St. in Marble Hill, Missouri, carries a variety of items, including gifts, jewelry, bereavement gifts and angels, including the popular Willow Tree angel line. They also carry apparel, handbags, pillows, home decor and specialty foods such as local honey, flaxseed, jams and jellies and hot sauces.

"We also do vinyl monogramming for Yeti cups and tumblers," Morris says.

The shop also offers a line of handmade children's clothing.

"It's called 'The Frilly Farm' and I hand-make all of them myself," Morris says.

In addition to a vast assortment of boutique items, The Mustard Seed offers a limited number of lunch selections, from sandwiches to wraps to soups.

"We serve lunch out on the porch during nice weather," Morris says. "And, we offer a great banana pudding and My Daddy's Cheesecake (for dessert)."

To-go lunches can be purchased during inclement weather.

Morris believes positive word-of-mouth has helped her business flourish.

"We're nestled in a small town, so it's a fun day trip," she says. "We get visitors and groups from all over the place and they can shop, eat lunch and then shop some more. It's a fun little out-of-the-way place. Everyone that comes here seems to love it."

As for future plans for The Mustard Seed, Morris has some ideas.

"I'd like to do more on our website, and I'd like to add more things that I have handmade, as those are the things I really love," she says. "Other than that, we plan to just keep on keeping on!"

The Mustard Seed Boutique is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
