Cora Josephine was born was born at 5:32 p.m., and weighed 1 pound, 13 ounces. Heidi Marie was born at 5:33 p.m., and weighed 2 pounds, 3 ounces. The triplets have one older brother and no sisters. Mrs. Hulshof is the former Valarie Eilert, daughter of Rodney and Carol Eilert of Worden, Illinois. She is a Title I teacher at Delta Elementary School. Hulshof is the son of Greg and Shirley Eftink of Kelso, Missouri, and the late Gordon Hulshof. He works in information technology at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Elbrecht is the son of Norman Elbrecht of Millersville and Ron and Lawanda Snyder of Jackson. He is a boiler technician at Saint Francis Medical Center.
