Janice Rose Jansen and Gabriel Perry Scherer were married July 11, 2015, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Missouri. The Rev. Michael Casteel and the Rev. David Coon performed the ceremony. Organists/pianists were Kelly Irvin, cousin of the bride, and Alissa Vandeven, friend of the bride. Soloists were Emilie Stephens and Annie Stephens. Choir members were Mary Glastetter, Bob Clubb, Jean Clubb, Tyler Clubb, Pam Horrell, Elaine Stroder and Wade Wiseman.

Parents of the couple are Norman and JoEllen Jansen of Leopold and Fred and Christy Scherer of Bell City, Missouri.

Maid of honor was Denise Jansen of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Matrons of honor were Sonya Glastetter of New Hamburg, Missouri, and Laura Booth of Leopold, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kim Seyer of Benton, Missouri; Jenny Braun of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri; Erin Ressler of Cape Girardeau; Calli Nanney of Cape Girardeau, niece of the bride; Mackenzie Scherer of Bell City, sister-in-law of the groom; Miya Switser of Allen, Texas, cousin of the groom; and Megan Chapman of Kelso, Missouri.

Best man was Lincoln Scherer of Bell City, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Trey Strobel of Bell City; Travis Westbrook of Bloomfield, Missouri; Kerry Wayne Lasters of Bell City; Brian Phillips of Bell City; Zak McIntyre of Sikeston, Missouri; Sam Scherer of Allen, cousin of groom; Will Scherer of Allen, cousin of the groom; Josh Glastetter of New Hamburg, brother-in-law of the bride; and Kyle Booth of Leopold, brother-in-law of the bride.

A reception was held at Ray's Plaza Banquet Center in Cape Girardeau.

The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner on July 10 at Celebrations Downtown in Cape Girardeau.

Janice received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2011. She is an affiliate agent at Scherer Shelter Insurance in Sikeston.

Gabriel received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. He is a self-employed farmer in the Bell City area.

After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple lives in Sikeston.
