Bobbie Jean Choate, 73, of Scott City passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born June 25, 1942, in Bollinger County to the late Dale and Ruby Hanner Stevens.

She married Donald Choate on June 27, 1959, and he preceded her in death May 17, 2006.

Bobbie was a member of the Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Laster of Humboldt, Tennessee, and Robin (Randy) Whitney of Grove, Oklahoma; a brother, Jack (Roberta) Stevens of McClure, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a half-sister, Betty Ford.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
