IMPERIAL, Mo. -- Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Josephine "Jo" T. Kaluza Schwartz, 86, died Friday, July 8, 2016, in Imperial.

Jo was born Jan. 15, 1930, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Holboy Kaluza.

Beloved wife of the late William L. Schwartz; dear mother of Jo Ann (Don) Walker, Bill (Beth) Schwartz, Beth Ann (Mike) Rodgers and John (Donna) Schwartz; dear grandma of Steve (Katie) Renner, Robert (Julie) Renner and John and Isaiah Schwartz; great-grandma of six and twins on the way; dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, neighbor and friend. Jo also was survived by her loving caregivers, Sharon Agne, Kim Weber, Kathy Scott, Luanne Lenick and Angela, and her adoring companion, her Pekingese dog, Beauty.

Jo loved making Easter baskets for the Arnold (Missouri) Food Pantry. She was a proud supporter of the Delta Seniors Club and St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. in St. Ann, Missouri.

The funeral service will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, and then proceed to All Souls Catholic Church, 9550 Tennyson Ave., in Overland, Missouri, for a 9 a.m. Mass. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
