Person injured in shooting late Saturday

Cape Girardeau police officers went to the scene of a shooting about 9:20 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Maple Street.

An officer at the Cape Girardeau Police Department didn’t have much information, although he had heard the victim’s injury didn’t appear to be serious.

Police radio scanner reports indicated the victim was grazed in the face by a bullet.

Officers and medical personnel were still at the scene late Saturday.
