Thomas Eugene Finley

Thomas Eugene Finley, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at his home.

He was born Nov. 13, 1927, in Matthews, Missouri, to Thomas Richard and Mary Jane Husk Finley. He and Drucille Hitt were married June 25, 1945, at Rockview, Missouri. She preceded him in death March 10, 1979. He later married Naomi Callis on Aug. 11, 1979. She passed away Sept. 4, 2001.

Tom was a heavy-equipment operator for Lonestar Cement for 33 years. He retired in 1987.

Survivors include a son, Delmar E. (Sharlet) Finley of Columbia, Missouri; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; brother, Bill Finley; half brother, Russell Clark; and two half sisters, Christine Slinkard and Dollie Jenkins.

Friends may call from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

There will be no funeral service. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
