Stanley "Stan" Taylor, 65, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at Southeast Hospital. He was born July 14, 1951, in Cairo, Illinois, to Carl and Patricia (Britt) Taylor. Stanley "Stan" Taylor, 65, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1951, in Cairo, Illinois, to Carl and Patricia (Britt) Taylor.

Stan was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, played softball, was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed playing poker in Tunica, Mississippi.

Survivors include his mother of Cape Girardeau; sons, Bradley (Sherry) Andrews of Memphis, Tennessee, and Matthew (Heather) Taylor of Menomonie, Wisconsin; brothers, Steve (Jann) Taylor of Anna, Illinois, and Scott Taylor of Overland Park, Kansas; sister, Nancy Taylor Randolph of McClure, Illinois; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Andrews, DiAndrea McGill and Nevaeh Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Sean, Elaina, Savannah and Greyson; nephews, Jeff, Stephen, Ethan and Kyle Taylor; niece, Megan (Jared) Randolph Murray; favorite great-nephew, Maxwell Murray; two aunts, Evelyn Taylor and Joan Martin; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and wife, Betty Taylor, both in 1989.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Francisco Gordillo officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mounds, Illinois.
