Georgia Laxton

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Georgia Lee Laxton, 77, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Desha, Arkansas, daughter of Thomas Dexter and Scynthia Moore Head.

She and Jackie Ray Laxton were united in marriage April 2, 1955, and he passed away March 21, 1993.

Georgia worked as a cook for the Marquand Cafe, and she owned two Sonic restaurants in Arizona with her husband.

She attended the Glenallen Baptist Church in Glenallen, Missouri.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Musick of Pacific, Missouri; sons Ray Laxton of Roseville, California, Darrell Laxton of Marble Hill and Wade Laxton of Grassy, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Timothy and Justin Laxton; sister, Patricia Phillips; and grandson, Kyle Ray Laxton.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery near Grassy.
