Blake Marshall

Blake Marshall, 28, of Scott City passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Charleston, Missouri, due to injuries sustained in a truck accident.

Blake was born March 8, 1988, at Cape Girardeau. He was the son of Karl Marshall and Cassie Eggimann Marshall.

Blake was a farmer with Marshall Farms in Charleston. He was an avid golfer, loved to hunt, enjoyed NASCAR and was a great cook. He was raised in Carrollton, Georgia, and was a 2006 graduate of Carrollton High School. Blake was full of personality and always had a smile on his face.

Survivors include his mother, Cassie Marshall of Carrollton; his father, Karl Marshall of Charleston; a sister, Virginia Kate “Tiv” Marshall of Carrollton; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Linda Eggimann of Advance, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Jackie Marshall of Charleston; significant other, Wendi Limbaugh of Scott City; uncles, Dirk (Marcia) Eggimann of Advance, Ed Marshall of Charleston and James Marshall of Cape Girardeau; aunts, Stacy (Mark) Eggimann Harris of Conway, Arkansas; Mary T. Whitehead of Charleston; Sara Hines of Brewton, Alabama; Lucia Hillenmeyer of Franklin, Tennessee, and Madeline Haynie of Shreveport, Louisiana; special friends, the Hollingsworth and Jansen families, and many other family members, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held Sunday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, and a funeral service was held on Monday at the chapel. Officiating was the Rev. Jim Matthews and Cassie Marshall.
