Larry Best Sr.

PARSONS, Kan. -- Larry D. Best Sr., 53, of Parsons, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2016, at Labette Health in Parsons, surrounded by family.

He was born Dec. 4, 1962, in Cape Girardeau to Tommy Best Sr. and Patsy (Niswonger) Best.

Larry worked for Luhr Bros. on the riverboat for 20 years.

He is survived by his children, Dean Best, Jessica (Cody) Kinder and Blake (Shealee) Best; grandchildren, Landen Best and Alisa and Kinslee Kinder, all of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Pat (David) Moreno of Parsons; brother, Tom Best of Leopold, Missouri; sister, Margie (Gary) Tracy of Pocahontas; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Daisy Niswonger, and paternal grandparents, Tommy D. Best and Clara Kruger.
