Linda Mae Hathaway, 72, of Jackson died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at her home. She was born Dec. 24, 1943, in Michigan to Leonard Louis and Lydia Mae Romine Vinson. Linda Mae Hathaway, 72, of Jackson died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at her home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1943, in Michigan to Leonard Louis and Lydia Mae Romine Vinson. She and David Rodney Hathaway were married April 29, 1967.

Linda worked as a seamstress for Gossard Factory and P.B. Apparel in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, for 40 years.

Survivors include her husband, David R. Hathaway of Jackson; two sons, Cary Hathaway of Broseley, Missouri, and Shannon Lee (Mandy) Hathaway of Jackson; daughter, Leslie Hathaway of Poplar Bluff; brother, Gary (Diane) Vinson of Broseley; sister, Sue (Mike) Harwell of Poplar Bluff; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Leonard Vinson.

Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Ramdial officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. today at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.

Memorial contributions may be given to any cancer-research fund.
