Margaret A. Zieba, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 14, 1936, daughter of Mack and Louise Tarry, in Dexter, Kentucky. She and James L. Zieba were married July 1, 1961, in Murray, Kentucky.

Margaret was a graduate of Murray High School and Murray State University. She enjoyed her career as a teacher of business and math in Farmington, Brentwood, Cape Girardeau Central and Jackson Alternative School. She was a very active member of Grace United Methodist Church. She served as chairwoman of several committees and was president of UMW several times.

Two sons and one daughter and their families dearly loved her: Frank (Lori), Drew and Zander Zieba of Jackson, John (Kia), Kensley and Kaitlyn Zieba of Madisonville, Kentucky, and Diane (Spencer), Dalton, Daley and Demi Drum of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Rebecca (Bob) Barr of Mancelona, Michigan; a brother-in-law, Don (Barbara) Zieba of Perryville, Missouri; several nephews; and a niece.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Jim Zieba, in 2012. They had been married 50 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or through Grace Church for the Amen Homeless Center in Delta.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church at the corner of Broadway and Caruthers Street in Cape Girardeau. Visitation will be afterward in the church fellowship hall.
