BENTON, Mo. -- Barbara Mae Garrett, 69, of Benton died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 31, 1947, in Illmo, Missouri, to Eugene and Bessie Irene Stone Burton. She married Lester Lee Garrett on Feb. 11, 1966...BENTON, Mo. -- Barbara Mae Garrett, 69, of Benton died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 31, 1947, in Illmo, Missouri, to Eugene and Bessie Irene Stone Burton.
She married Lester Lee Garrett on Feb. 11, 1966.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Lester; a son, Jim Garrett of Benton; three daughters, Cindy Ann Joyce and Angela Renee Morefield, both of Benton, and Leslie Ann (Shawn) Warren of Sikeston, Missouri; a brother, Jim (Pat) Burton of Scott City; a sister, Margie (Maurice) Schlosser of Scott City; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with her grandson, Jesse Venable, officiating.
Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
