Harry and Dorothy Bertrand of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sept. 24, at Trinity Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Cape Girardeau. It was hosted by their daughter and son and their spouses.
Bertrand and the former Dorothy Huettig were married Aug. 31, 1946, in Perryville, Missouri.

The couple had three children, daughter Barbara (Mark) Bage of Ballwin, Missouri, and sons Michael (Kim) Bertrand of Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington, and Harry Bertrand Jr., who died May 1, 2012.
The couple also has five grandchildren, Jonathan (Liisa) Bage of Yantaa, Finland; Brian (Shannon) Bage of Wildwood, Missouri; David (Stephanie) Bage of Medford, Oregon; Emily (Jon) Wade of Jackson; and Andrew (Bly) Bertrand of O'Fallon, Missouri. They also have four great-grandchildren, Kevin, Benjamin and Dominic Wade, and Graham Bertrand.
The occasion also celebrated the 90th birthdays of Harry and Dorothy.
