Michael James Huey, 54, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at Landmark Hospital.

He was born Sept. 6, 1962, in Cape Girardeau to Michael Huey and Jackie Murphy (Huey) Green.

He was a 1980 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southwest Baptist College.

Michael Huey was a great friend and a good man. He loved God, loved his mother, adored his grandparents and loved his nephews as his own.

In accordance with Michael's wishes, there will only be a private burial in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Friends and family are invited to a life celebration gathering from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Healing Rooms of the Heartland, 240 S. Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau.

Any memorial contributions can be made out to Ford and Sons Funeral Home to help defer funeral expenses.
