Susan Mary “Sue” Craig, 64, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 17, 1952, in St. Louis, daughter of Rufus and Alma Holzum Claspill. She and Michael Rayford Craig were married Sept. 15, 1973, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Sue was a 1970 graduate of Ritenor High School in St. Louis. She worked for Ralph Edward Sports Ware, Saint Francis Medical Center and Cape Radiology, all in Cape Girardeau.

Sue was a fan of Cardinals baseball and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include her husband of 43 years, Mike Craig of Jackson; a son, Michael Craig of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, James “Jim” (Bonnie) Claspill of St. Charles, Missouri, Robert (Kathy) Claspill of San Antonio and Rich Claspill of St. Louis; four sisters, Diane (Tim) Hess of Memphis, Tennessee, Linda (Glen) Davis of St. Charles, Nancy (Mike) Gann of Farmington, Missouri, and Charlene (Harold) Maxey of St. Louis; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6:45 p.m. Monday in chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, with a rosary at 6:45 p.m., led by the St. Ann’s Sodality.

A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Harth officiating.

The family suggests contributions be made to Hope Children’s Home, 709 E. Main St., Jackson, MO 63755.
