MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Chris Myers, 77, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Lutesville, Missouri, daughter of Otha "Jack" and Beulah Mae Hill James. She and Lindell Joy Myers were united in marriage April 17, 1982, and he passed away Jan. 2, 2007...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Chris Myers, 77, of Marble Hill passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Lutesville, Missouri, daughter of Otha "Jack" and Beulah Mae Hill James. She and Lindell Joy Myers were united in marriage April 17, 1982, and he passed away Jan. 2, 2007.

Mrs. Myers worked for Paramount Hat Factory as a machine operator and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son, Melvin (Christina) Dockins of Wittenberg, Wisconsin; daughters, Melvina Dockins of Marble Hill and Darlene (Michael) Dirnberger of Oran, Missouri; stepchildren, Lindell J. Myers Jr. of Longview, Texas, William (Mahetta) Myers of Glenallen, Missouri, Barb Spangler of Hillsboro, Missouri, and Connie (Don) Beel of Marble Hill; sisters, Oneta (Bill) Wolfe of Laurie, Missouri, and Kathy McLeary of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, Tyler James; great-granddaughter, Mariah Nenninger; brother, Billie James; and stepchildren, Kenny Myers and twins Linda Faye and Brenda Kay Myers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
