Roy Lee Stone, 76, of Jackson unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at his home.
He was born Oct. 20, 1940, in Bollinger County, Missouri, to Hessie E. and Blanche Conrad Stone. He and Judy Ann Hahs were married Dec. 31, 1968. They had been married 28 years when Judy passed away April 5, 1997.
Prior to living in Jackson, Roy lived in Friedheim. His employment included the former Chevrolet Plant in St. Louis; the former Florsheim Shoe Factory and Larry Smith Trucking, both in Perryville, Missouri; and the former Lee-Rowan and Country Mart in Jackson.
Loving survivors include three children, Scott Stone of Jackson, Lori (Charles) Maca of Cape Girardeau and Tommy Stone of Jackson; four grandchildren, Brandon and Mariah Maca and Nick and Myah Stone; four siblings, Wanda Lee (the late Louis) Sparks, Jack (Carol) Stone, Bill (the late Winnie) Stone and Donnie (Wanda) Stone, all of the Jackson area; and his dear caregiver, Terri Schwepker of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and four siblings, Velma Dobbs and Loy, J.C. and Leon Stone.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Burial is private at a later date.
