Margie Ann Leine, 70, of Daisy passed to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 19, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Leonard and Violet Unterreiner Yamnitz.

She and Doyle Leine were married April 1, 1967, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Margie was a 1966 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.

She began her working career in 1966 at the former Rozier's Department Store in Jackson. In 1983, she was appointed postmaster of the Daisy post office, retiring in 1998 due to health issues.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She and Doyle Leine had been members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau for the past 15 years.

Margie was a member of the Perryville American Legion Auxiliary No. 133. In her early years, she was active in the Critesville Homemakers Club.

Cooking and gardening were her hobbies, but Margie's family was her No. 1 enjoyment.

Loving survivors include her husband of 50 years, Doyle Leine of Daisy; twin sons, David (Tracy) Leine of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and Daryl (Dawn) Leine of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Michael and Lauryn Leine.

The visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Graveside rites will be private.

The family suggests contributions be made to St. Andrew Lutheran Church.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
