BENTON, Mo. — Larry Dean Uelsmann, 69, of Benton died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at his home.
He was born Oct. 10, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to Thomas Andrew and Mary Belle Belk Uelsmann. He married Joyce Marie O’Brien on May 26, 1970.
Larry was the president of Security Bank & Trust. He was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, the Lutheran Home Board, National Guard and the finance committee at Eisleben Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Uelsmann; his mother, Mary Uelsmann of Benton; a daughter, Beth Uelsmann Figueroa of Benton; a sister, Shari Napier of Dayton, Ohio; and a granddaughter, Lena Marie Figueroa.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at Eisleben Lutheran Church.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Pastor Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be in Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery in Scott City.
