CAIRO, Ill. -- Bruce M. Hornberger, 62, of Cairo died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at his home.

He was born May 24, 1955, in Marion, Illinois, to Dewey and Betty Matthews Hornberger.

For many years, he and his parents owned and operated Hornberger Body Shop in Cairo.

Bruce is survived by two daughters, Erin Lee Hornberger of Bardwell, Kentucky, and Bethany Anne Oy of Bellingham, Washington; two sons, Jonathan Herbert Hornberger of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Zachary Matthew Hornberger of Bellingham; and two grandchildren, Harrison and Katherine Oy, both of Bellingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no services for Bruce Hornberger.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Parish in Cairo.
