Timothy Dean “Tim” Kinder, 47, of Jackson passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, near his home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1969, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert M. “Bob” and Shirley Kester Kinder. He and Crystal Mungle were married Oct. 3, 1992.

Being a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church; Tim was baptized, confirmed and also married at the church. He was a 1988 graduate of Jackson High School, where he played football, basketball and was on the track team. Like his father, Tim was a truck driver most of his life. Beginning his career at the age of 14, he would ride with his dad and assist him when needed. He drove for Sara Lee Coffee, which later became Farmer Bros, and he later represented Ronnoco Coffee. He was currently employed by Lang Trucking Co. in Jackson. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling, attending his boys’ sporting events and activities, playing cards with friends and spending time with his family.

Loving survivors include his wife of 25 years, Crystal Kinder of Jackson; two sons, Tyler and Gage Kinder of the home; his mother, Shirley Kinder of Jackson; two sisters, Cynthia (Mike) Mirly and Deborah (Bryan) McCain, all of Jackson; a brother, Rodney (Vickie) Kinder of Benton, Kentucky; seven nieces and nephews, Landon and Breanna Kinder, Ryan, Ashley and Deanna Mirly and Zachary and Megan Abernathy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Kinder, and father-in-law, Edward Mungle.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Ted Torreson officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests contributions be made to the family for the education of Gage and Tyler or St. Paul Lutheran Church or School.
